    Sienna Rosie Diana Miller was born in New York on December 28, 1981 to American art dealer and former banker Edwin and his glamorous South African wife Josephine, a former model, NYC film institute manager and PA to David Bowie. Growing up in London, Sienna was in no doubt as to her desire to break into the entertainment industry.

    Career beginnings

    Educated at the exclusive Heathfield girls boarding school in Ascot, Sienna returned to New York to study acting and made her film debut in 2001's , alongside Rupert Everett and Elle Macpherson. Three years later, she established herself in the industry when she won praise for her 2004 roles alongside Daniel Craig in and Jude Law in .

    Personal life

    After starring alongside Jude Law in 2004's , the pair's relationship soon blossomed into a real life romance, and the glamorous pair made headlines with the news of Jude's proposal on Christmas Day 2004. However, as Sienna's star rocketed her love affair with Jude waned. 

    In May 2005, the actor admitted to cheating on his fiancée with his children's nanny, and she called off the engagement. The pair tried to patch up their romance on various occasions, with one significant reconciliation in 2009, but the roller-coaster relationship finally ground to a halt the following year, with both admitting it was truly over. 

    In 2011, Sienna began a relationship with future actor Tom Sturridge. The couple welcomed a daughter in July 2012 and got engaged that year too, but split in 2015. The pair remain friends however, and are proud co-parents of their daughter.
